Alan Mulally served as president and chief executive officer of The Ford Motor Company and as a member of Ford's board of directors from September 2006-June 2014. Mulally led Ford's transformation into one of the world's leading automobile companies and the #1 automobile brand in the United States. He guided Ford in working together on a compelling vision, comprehensive strategy and implementation of the One Ford plan to deliver profitable growth for all of the company's stakeholders.

 

Prior to joining Ford, Mulally served as executive vice president of The Boeing Company, president and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes and president of Boeing Information, Space, and Defense Systems.

 

Throughout his career, Mulally has been recognized for his contributions, industry leadership, and service, including being named #3 on FORTUNE's "World's Greatest Leaders", one of the 30 "World's Best CEO's" by Barrons' magazine, one of "The World's Most Influential People" by TIME magazine and "Chief Executive of the Year" by Chief Executive magazine. He was also honored with the American Society for Quality's medal for excellence in executive leadership, the “Automotive Executive of the Year”, and the “Thomas Edison Achievement Award”. In 2016, Mulally was inducted into The Automotive Hall of Fame.

 

Mulally previously served on President Obama's United States Export Council. He served as co-chairman of the Washington Competitiveness Council, and has served on the advisory boards of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the University of Washington, the University of Kansas, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the United States Air Force Scientific Advisory Board. Mulally has also served as president of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and as chairman of the Board of Governors of the Aerospace Industries Association.

 

Mulally currently serves on the board of directors of Google, Carbon 3D, and the Mayo Clinic.

The 2017 Inc. 5000 Conference & Gala is being held at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa. Boasting a sensational location in the heart of Palm Desert, California, the resort has five sparkling outdoor pools, two championship golf courses, a state-of-the-art spa facility, and six exquisite onsite restaurant options. The room block at the JW Marriott Desert Springs is now sold out. Hotel rooms are now available at the Marriott's Desert Springs Villas and Marriott's Desert Springs Villas II. The Villas are  within a 5-15 minute walk to the JW Marriott and there will be shuttle service.

Are group discounts available?

Yes! We offer a group discount for 10 people to attend the conference. The group option includes a reserved table of 10 at the Gala. For more details, click here.

What’s the Cancellation Policy?

All cancellations should be sent to events@inc.com.  A full refund for your conference ticket and any additional conference options is available if a written cancellation is received no later than September 20, 2017. After this date, credits toward future Inc. events will be available for cancellations through October 1, 2017. No refunds or credits are available for cancellations after October 1, 2017.

Can I transfer my registration or change the name on my registration?

Of course! Just send a note to events@inc.com with your changes.

What’s the attire for the Conference?

We want you to be comfortable during the conference so we suggest business casual attire. Hotel areas tend to be cold. We strongly suggest bringing a jacket or sweater. Attire for the conference party is business casual but you can dress up if you like.

Do I have to register for each individual session at the conference?

No. All conference sessions on Wednesday and Thursday are open to all conference attendees. The only sessions that you may need to sign up for are the events held on Tuesday, October 10.

What should I wear to the Black-Tie Gala?

Cocktail dresses and gowns are acceptable at the Black-Tie Gala. Tuxedos will be available for rental and pick up at the JW Marriott Desert Springs. Nice suits are also acceptable. If you would like to rent a tuxedo, please click here for the rental form.

Will I receive an award at the Gala?

An Inc. 5000 award will be available for each of the 2017 Inc. 5000 companies in attendance.

Can you send my award in the mail if I can’t make the Conference or Gala?

We do not mail out individual awards. Awards are given to a representative of each company in attendance.
